2013 blizzard Downtown Lowell MA
This Picture Above Was Taken Outside Our Front Door

We just got hit with a whopper of a snow storm this week. Two to three feet in most parts of Massachusetts. The good news is Punxsutawney Phil is calling for an early spring. We expect to be out doing pool liner installation estimates in the beginning of March if all goes well.

We need to uncover your pool to look for possible impediments. This gives us the best opportunity to quote an accurate price. We pride our-selves on giving a complete scope of work, including any possible surprises as the job advances.

You need to know if high ground water will slow us down or add to the cost of your pool liner replacement. Or if pool walls and stairs are going to be an issue. We do are best to let you know all the possible variables in our estimates.

Cost Of A New Pool Liner Installation

We are going to ask some questions to get a feel for how difficult installing your liner will be. Overall labor is of course a factor in determining the final cost of the job. We will ask if you know the size of your pool, who the manufacturer is, how long ago it was installed and what type of pool bottom you have.

You don’t need to know the answers to these questions, but they help us to quote you a ballpark price over the phone. These are some of the things our installer will figure out during a visit.

Cost Of An Inground Pool Liner Replacement

Some liner jobs are easy and some we would rather not do at all. To install an inground liner in a small pool with a cement bottom your looking at a total cost of $2800.00 to $3500.00. To install a liner in a medium size pool with a cement pool bottom the price would be about $3500.00 to $4300.00. To replace a pool liner in a large inground pool with a cement pool bottom would be approximately $5000.00 to $6500.00.

Working with a cement pool bottom that has not been damaged by ground water will save you roughly a thousand dollars on the job. Some pool liners slip out and back in like nothing, while others are tough as all get out. To get an accurate price we really need to visit your pool.

The rough prices above include the liner and labor. There are variables as to the cost of each. Thick pool liners cost more to have made, and require more skill to install. Ground water issues can set us back a whole day in some cases, and only an hour or two in other cases. The best thing to do now is contact us and get on our list. We will start contacting the people on our list as soon as the snow goes. We will do our best to make your appointment convenient.

Above Ground Pool Liner Installation Prices

Above ground pools come in all shapes and sizes. The cost of the liner is determined by the thickness, bead or no bead, and pool size. Above ground pool liner prices range from $250.00 to $800.00. Labor doesn’t have to many variables and ranges from $300.00 to $700.00.

When possible, we prefer to order a custom liner for above ground pools vs buying a pre-made liner. Pre-made is fine but you will seldom get the thickest liner off a shelf. It takes 2-3 weeks to receive custom made liners for above ground pools, but are the most durable.

Pool Liner Installation Weather Conditions

Pool liners can not be installed in the rain. It requires a warm and preferably sunny day. Liners stretch as they get installed. The preferred temperature for installing inground and above ground liners is 70 degrees and sunny. So installation dates will vary depending on how early we warm up this year.

If you try to install a vinyl liner on a cold or even warm but drizzly day, you might get the liner in, but you will most likely end up with more wrinkles than you should have.
